Nutzungsbedingungen LinContact

Stand: 25. Oktober 2026

Kurz gesagt: LinContact ist ein Werkzeug. Was Sie damit tun – anrufen, Kontakte ändern, zusammenführen, löschen, Nummern sperren –, entscheiden und verantworten Sie selbst. Machen Sie Sicherungen Ihrer Kontakte.

2. Was LinContact tut

LinContact Terms of Use

Last updated: 25 October 2026

In short: LinContact is a tool. What you do with it – calling, changing, merging and deleting contacts, blocking numbers – is your own decision and your own responsibility. Back up your contacts. LinuNet is liable only where the law requires it.

The German version is binding; this English version is provided for convenience.

1. Provider and scope

LinContact is an app by LinuNet, Ralph Nussholz, Rorschach, Switzerland (linunet.rorschach@gmail.com). These terms apply to any use of LinContact. By ticking the box on first start you accept them. If you do not accept them, you may not use the app.

2. What LinContact does

LinContact shows and edits Android’s address book and call log, dials numbers and, as the default phone app, can handle and filter calls. LinContact has no contact list of its own: changes take effect directly in Android’s address book and, through its accounts (e.g. Google, Exchange), on servers and other devices.

3. Your responsibility

  • Your own decisions: you alone decide which contacts you create, change, merge, restore or delete, which numbers you block and which spam rules you set. You bear the consequences of these actions.
  • Backups: deleted or merged contacts may not be recoverable, not even on synced servers. Back up your contacts yourself before making larger changes. The backup LinContact creates before merging is a help, not a guarantee.
  • Spam protection and blocking: blocked, silenced or rejected calls may include wanted or important calls. Check your rules and the call log regularly.
  • Other people’s data: the contacts in your address book are other people’s data. You are responsible for handling and sharing them lawfully.
  • Lawful use: you use LinContact only in line with applicable law, for example not for harassment or unsolicited marketing calls.
  • Costs: charges for calls and SMS are billed by your mobile operator. LinuNet has no influence on them.

4. Emergency calls

Emergency calls depend on the phone, the mobile network and Android. LinuNet cannot guarantee that an emergency call via LinContact is possible at all times. If LinContact does not work, use the emergency call button on Android’s lock screen.

5. No warranty

LinContact is provided as is. LinuNet strives for a careful, error-free app but does not guarantee that it works without interruption, without errors or with every phone, Android version and account (e.g. Exchange). Features may be changed, added or removed.

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, LinuNet is not liable for damage arising from the use of or inability to use LinContact, in particular not for lost or altered contacts, missed or blocked calls, lost profits or consequential damage. Liability for intent and gross negligence, and any liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law, remains unaffected.

7. LinContact Pro

LinContact Pro is a one-time purchase through Google Play, not a subscription. Google Play’s terms apply to purchase, payment and refunds. Pro unlocks the features described at the time of purchase on all devices signed in with the same Google account. Future Pro features are an intention, not an entitlement.

8. Right of use

You receive a simple, non-transferable right to use LinContact for your own purposes. All rights to the app, its name and its design remain with LinuNet. The app may not be modified, reverse engineered or resold unless the law expressly permits it.

9. Privacy

How LinContact handles data is described in the privacy policy. In short: your data stays on your phone.

10. Changes

LinuNet may update these terms. In case of material changes, LinContact asks for your consent again on the next start. Without consent you cannot continue to use the app.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

Swiss law applies. Place of jurisdiction is Rorschach, unless mandatory law provides otherwise. If you are a consumer living in another country, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence continue to apply. If any provision is invalid, the remaining provisions remain in force.
